An honest, dated account of where generative AI does — and does not — touch the work made under Kin is Kin. We’ll keep this page updated if anything ever changes.
I have used ChatGPT occasionally as a research tool, as a collaborative tool to help edit my copy for an artist bio, and to generate code and approaches for some specific goals in TouchDesigner.
I have never published musical or visual works created in part or whole by generative AI. Nor will I, ever.
All art from Kin is Kin has always been, and will continue to be, human-made.
We believe in the copyright of all creators, and therefore do not believe in the use of generative AI tools anywhere in the artistic process. Plus, we think doing it ourselves is more fun.
If any of this ever changes, you’ll find it documented right here at kiniskin.space/ai — no quiet edits, no walking it back.
This is an /ai page — part of the ai/ page movement started by Damola Morenikeji, a simple way for makers to state plainly where they stand on generative AI.
Every note and every image is human-made. We think doing it ourselves is more fun.
New releases, tutorials and free packs — one human-written letter a month.
